In the bustling kingdom of Niani, the air was thick with the scent of dry earth and the distant hum of the Niger River. King Maghan Kon Fatta ruled with justice, yet his heart harbored a secret longing for a successor who would unite the Mande people. One day, a hunter arrived with a woman of singular appearance, Sogolon, who carried a mysterious, quiet strength. The court whispered as she entered, for she was draped in simple indigo, yet her gaze held the depth of the ancient Sahel. The King, sensing a hidden destiny, welcomed her into the royal concession. Despite the skepticism of the palace courtiers, a bond formed between the King and the woman who would become the mother of a legend. The palace walls, built of sun-dried mud bricks, seemed to glow in the late afternoon heat, witnessing the beginning of a lineage that would eventually reshape the entire continent of Africa.
