Sinbad stood at the busy docks of Basra, watching the dhows bob in the Shatt al-Arab. He was a young man with a heart full of dreams and a small inheritance from his father. The air smelled of salt, spices, and the promise of distant lands. He decided then and there to trade his gold for goods and join the next ship heading east.
